Our Favourite Wedding Flower Trends for 2027
Wedding flowers are becoming a lot more personal, and we're loving the direction things are going for 2027.

Couples are moving away from the idea that wedding flowers need to follow a certain formula. Instead, we're seeing more creativity, more colour, and floral designs that reflect the couple, the venue, and the atmosphere they want to create.
As we look ahead to the 2027 wedding season, here are three floral trends we're especially excited about.
1.Sculptural Flowers That Make a Statement
Not every floral arrangement needs to be round, full, or perfectly symmetrical.
One of our favourite directions for 2027 is the use of flowers as sculptural pieces. Think interesting shapes, unexpected heights, and arrangements that almost look like works of art.
Flowers like calla lilies, orchids, and anthuriums are particularly beautiful for this style because of their natural shapes.
We love this approach for modern weddings, especially when the venue already has interesting architectural details. Sometimes, a few carefully chosen flowers arranged in an unexpected way can make a bigger impression than an oversized arrangement.
And the best part? Sculptural florals can work just as beautifully for ceremony arrangements as they do for reception tables.
2. Whimsical, Garden-Inspired Flowers
There's something special about flowers that look like they've just been gathered from a garden.
For 2027, we're loving arrangements that feel a little less structured. Flowers at different heights, delicate stems, soft movement, and a mix of textures that make everything feel natural.
Think cosmos, sweet peas, poppies, and seasonal blooms arranged in a way that lets each flower have its own space.
This style is especially beautiful for bridal bouquets and ceremony flowers. Instead of everything being perfectly tucked into place, the flowers have room to move, creating a softer, more romantic look.
We also love that garden-inspired designs can be adapted to almost any colour palette, from soft pastels to bright, playful combinations.
3. Rich, Romantic Colours
While white and blush flowers will always have their place, we're excited to see couples becoming more adventurous with colour.
Deep burgundy, plum, berry tones, warm peach, and soft antique pink are some of the combinations we're especially drawn to for 2027.
These colours bring warmth and depth to floral arrangements, particularly when combined with candlelight, beautiful linens, and textured table settings.
And rich colours aren't just for fall weddings.
A summer wedding with burgundy and pink flowers can be just as beautiful as an autumn celebration. It's all about choosing the right flowers and finding a balance that works with the venue and the overall design.
We especially love mixing deeper tones with softer shades to create arrangements that feel romantic without being too formal.
Your Wedding Flowers Should Feel Like You
Trends are a wonderful place to find inspiration, but they shouldn't dictate how your wedding looks.
Maybe you love the simplicity of sculptural flowers, the softness of a garden-inspired bouquet, or the drama of a rich colour palette. You can even combine elements from different styles to create something completely your own.
At Blooming Flower Design Studio, we love getting to know our couples, learning what inspires them, and finding ways to bring their ideas to life through flowers.
